Wintertime

Well the downed tree from last year, well seasoned, has been hauled off by some friends who will be toasty-cozy warm this winter using their wood stove.  We are both equally pleased with this transaction...I have more room to garden, and they have a nice woodpile!

And since old man winter can't decide if he wants to snow or rain, I am enjoying some Double Inspiration for 2017 with 2 tarot decks...The Druid Plant Oracle and Crow's Magick a gift from my friend Vicki who is always outofhand. The annual January shape-shifting of the soap room is almost complete, and with 3 of my incense crows burning, Blessed Be, Friendship and Prosperity, I am enjoying myself by my own fire...immensely!

The seed catalogs are in, and since I saw a flock of robins in the yard, I am hoping that Spring will be right on time this year...and no April Foolishness with a snowstorm, like last year!  But even though it is in the 40's right now, old man winter is lingering on...we still have a long way to go!

alot has happened since..........

here we are working hard ----trying to figure out
how to set up in our new space for the annual Grahamsville Little World's Fair.
we decided to make it like a little shop.  welcome mat & all!

it was a very hot summer & the fair days were no exception!

we got it done......with 4 people working together, (I'm behind the camera), set-up was a breeze.

Thanks to Andrea and her gorgeous coiled rope art, Judie, with her terrific stained glass creations, and Vicki  who is always outofhand when it comes to altered books, the Happy Herbs Soap booth was lit up for 3 whole days.  And a shout out to the rest of the talentedchics of the Arty Tea Party for including some of their wares to help make our booth a stunning success!

Out and About in Autumn

Setting up shop at the Pumpkin Fest on the Delaware River
It was a gorgeous day as we hauled out the Herbal Soaps and Magickal Botanickal Incense blends for the annual Pumpkin Fest.  Wish I had a photo of the tent after it was completely set up, but we had so much stuff, and we had to just keep adding as we went along. The gals from the Arty Tea Party joined in.

There were many people out for this event, some fishing on the river, others having a hay ride, and my witch friend, eating her way around the fair...with not your usual fair menu...lobster rolls, clam chowder, oysters on the half shell, mussels with a vinaigrette slaw topping...empanadadas, whatever they are...not a hamburger or plain hot dog in sight!  However, the cider, the wine bar, the beer bar, and the leftovers from the BAKE-OFF, made up for that, and, oh the triple decker pumpkin cake with cream cheese frosting was AB FAB!!!

And what country fair is complete without a pie eating contest???
Pumpkin, of course!
 OH HAPPY DAY!
